Floral Water

Floral waters, also known as hydrosols, are produced during the steam distillation of essential oils. They contain the water-soluble components of the distilled plants and, in small quantities, essential oils that have not completely settled.

Hydrosols are similar in effect to their corresponding essential oils, but significantly milder. For example, they can be used undiluted on the skin as a facial toner or aftershave. Their applications are diverse; hydrosols are also used as a base in perfume and soap making, or for room freshening in an oil burner and/or a spray bottle.

Our hydrosols are bottled during the distillation of the essential oils and contain no preservatives or alcohol. They should be stored in a cool, dark place and used within a few weeks of opening.
